My old tablet died. Kids busted the digitizer and when I went to fix it, I found that I had to replace the LCD as well (they’re glued together). Too much, never got it to work.
RIP original 8GB Nexus 7. Not so fast. $4.64, and a new lcd ribbon cable later, and the ol’ tablet was back in service. Imagine that. It’s not a perfect fix, but I knew I could do it.
Hello Nexus 7 2013! Only $174.99 from my local Microcenter! That’s about $55 less than Google Play sells it for. Better display (HD), faster processor, more RAM (2GB), more storage (16GB), slimport output, and a warranty make this a no-brainer? Not so sure, but it is a better tablet.
